Notarize Your Documents — In Person or Online

We help you find a notary, get your documents signed, and complete your estate plan. From our founder's personal notary commission to a nationwide directory.

Why I Became a Notary — And Why You Might Want To

When I started building ClaritiForms, I realized a problem: our users could generate a will, power of attorney, or business document in minutes — but then they'd hit a wall. "This needs to be notarized. Where do I go?"

I took the notary course myself. Passed the exam. Got commissioned. Now I can notarize documents for ClaritiForms users — but more importantly, I learned something valuable:

Being a notary is a $200-500/month side business for most people. Banks pay $5-10 per stamp. Law firms pay $15-25 per signature. Mobile notaries earn $25-75 per trip. And with RON (Remote Online Notarization), you can notarize documents for clients anywhere in your state.

Notary & Estate FAQs

Not in most states — wills need 2 witnesses, not a notary. However, a "self-proving affidavit" (which IS notarized) makes it much easier to probate after death. ClaritiForms's will template includes both options. Check our state guide for your state's rules.
Yes — in nearly every state, a Power of Attorney must be notarized to be valid. Some states (CA, NY) also have specific statutory forms that must be used. ClaritiForms generates state-specific POA documents with notary blocks.
RON lets you notarize documents via video call with a commissioned notary. You upload your document, verify your identity, sign on screen, and the notary applies their digital seal. Legal in 22+ states. ClaritiForms's DocuSeal integration supports RON-ready documents.
1) Complete your state's notary education course (online, $20-50). 2) Pass the exam. 3) Get your bond ($5,000-10,000, ~$50-100/year). 4) File your commission with the Secretary of State. 5) Get your notary stamp and journal ($20-40). Total: ~$150-200 and 1-2 weeks. ClaritiForms provides the course guide and exam prep for free.
No — a notary cannot notarize their own signature or documents where they are a party. You need a neutral third-party notary. That's why we provide directories and RON platforms. (Exception: some states allow you to notarize for your own LLC if you're not personally named.)
